I understand that couples therapy can seem daunting, so I focus on your goals and challenges to keep you on track towards building a healthier relationship.
Couples counseling helps build strong, more resilient relationships through learning to manage conflict, improving communication skills, and increasing intimacy. I offer tools to help couples understand and change destructive patterns and promote healthier connections. As a trained couples therapist I navigate the cycles couples get stuck in and identify what needs to change to build a more effective and positive connection. My goal is to assist couples to learn how to interact more empathetically, to communicate feelings more effectively, and to respond to their partner's needs.
When couples face challenges, it is common for one or both members to withdraw. Through an emotionally-focused and secure attachment based framework, I work to support your relationship to last through even the toughest of obstacles, building bridges to communication.
Couples therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes in length with sessions available online or in-person.I understand the importance of confidentiality in therapy, which is why I use a HIPAA-compliant web service to host all virtual sessions.
