FAQs
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy can be helpful for managing stress, improving your mood, and building healthier relationships. There is no right or wrong candidate for therapy. At Integrative Psych, we offer complimentary consultations prior to booking your first appointment in order to make sure that you are paired with the right clinician for your goals.
How frequently do therapy sessions take place?
Depending on your needs and availability, therapy sessions are usually held weekly or biweekly. Typically, we recommend weekly sessions to start in order to build rapport and to build momentum.
Can I use my health insurance to pay for therapy?
While we are not in-network with any insurance policies, clients may still seek reimbursement from insurance for our services. Quality mental health services can be costly, so we fully understand if you'd like to seek reimbursement from your insurance plan.
If your plan has out-of-network benefits, you can submit a detailed invoice to your insurance agency. They will often reimburse 60-90% of the fees for typical services (for example, 50 minute psychotherapy sessions, 1x a week) depending on your plan.
At the end of each therapy appointment, you are financially responsible for the full session fee. We'd be happy to provide you with a detailed invoice upon request to submit to your insurance company, upon request (it's easy!).
What does it look like to get started and how much will therapy cost?
To get started, feel free to reach out through our Contact Us page.
Practice Owner Danielle B. Wald, LMHC will reach out to you shortly after and schedule a time for a complimentary phone consultation to get to know more about what you are looking for as well as to answer any questions you may have about our practice.

If you have a specific therapist in mind that you'd like to work with, you can request a consultation with them, if you'd like to speak with that therapist directly.

At the end of the consultation, the clinician may offer an option to schedule an Initial Intake Appointment. You may schedule an appointment at that time or opt to take time to think on it.

Initial Intake Assessments are billed at $300 and serve as a comprehensive look into your history, goals, and needs. You are welcome to pass on any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering at that time. This session may take up to 60 minutes.

After the Initial Intake Assessment, your therapist will work with you to schedule your next appointment, which would be the start of the therapy process. Each appointment moving forward is 50 minutes and is billed at $250 for individual therapy or $275 for couples or family therapy.
Do I have to choose between in-person and virtual sessions?
Nope! You are welcome to switch between virtual and in-person appointments, however please let your therapist know in advance.
Do you give clients diagnoses? Will my diagnosis be shared to a government list or database?
At Integrative Psych, protecting your personal health information is one of our top priorities. That is one of the reasons we continue to utilize the premier Electronic Records System, SimplePractice, who continues to prioritize this as well. In addition, unless specifically asked to do so by a client, we do not provide or list diagnoses in our records. If you are seeking out-of-network insurance reimbursement (see above FAQ), your insurance provider may require a diagnosis. We encourage you to speak directly with your clinician about this.
